Yet, even more dangerous things lurk in the ruins…Hidden within the freezing ruins of the Rinehart Refinery, Zero's army of murderous criminals prepare to assault the colonial capital, First Landing. Episode 1 is all that exists, there is no timeline for release of other episodes (other than "very soon") or guarantee that you'll ever receive them.I do like the game and wish it were complete so I could recommend it.. I'm sorry, I really tried, but I cannot enjoy it. The game is too frustratingly random, the bonus objectives are random squared, the two actions are too punishing given how the enemies just ignore that mechanic and will happily make the ability to attack before moving useless, and the final straw was a not easily refillable resource not being replenished if you use it then restart the mission. I'm sorry but I'm done.. Brought Form PAX Aus. So Gald that i did. Good Game. Highly recommend it.. Fusion of puzzle grid based casual game & tactical rpg. Combats are interconnected with a lot of narrative story telling given via gorgeous artworks comic books style reinforcing the sci-fi universe the game is built upon.. Ticket to earth is a charming sci-fi romp with relatively light turn-based gameplay and a respectable length. The package as a whole is very engaging; being well balanced and paced with constant progression and bits of story between every main mission. The gameplay is not massively difficult so one doesn't need years of experience in the genre to have a good time with Ticket to Earth; but it does keep ramping up well and very few mission are actual push-overs. The story as well starts slow but did grow on me at least, partially thanks to the sheer length(took me 20ish hours to basically 90% 3/4 episodes with one not yet released). At this point I can't wait to see the story to it's conclusion.Ticket to Earth is clearly a relatively small game, but it is one where the devs have put their time in all the right places and everything is pretty polished and as said lengthy. It doesn't actually feel constrained or limited due to outside factors, and as such was quite a blast to play through.. From the start the music caught my attention then having the choice of whether to opt out of the storyline to me as a Senior the storyline is definitely an advantage but for the younger crowd it is probably time wasted, simplicity of moving my character Rose around the puzzle is the biggest win as using the keyboard for actions can be confusing for some. From the music to the colours of the board to the increasing challenges at each level I have thoroughly enjoyed my introduction to Ticket to Earth. Thank you Robot Circus.. I am of two minds on this game. If you just want a sci-fi tactics game to mess around with, Ticket to Earth has a vibrant and beautiful world and (at least as far as I got) interesting characters, and a very enjoyable draw-a-path set of mechanics. If you're a perfectionist who needs to get every bonus objective all the time, this game is NOT for you (or me).TtE, in my eyes, is held back by the fact that often times, the bonus objectives are LITERALLY impossible to complete without restarting a least a handful, if not dozens of times. Missions where, for example, you need to kill an enemy on the first turn, but there aren't enough tiles to power up your ranged ability, and there isn't an available path all the way to an enemy/enough power to kill that enemy even if you can get there. I spent about 55 of my 96 minutes of playtime on a single mission, restarting over and over again to try and fulfill all the bonus objectives, before finally realizing any more attempts would have me smashing my keyboard in frustration, at which point I gave up and just completed the mission with 1/3 objectives done. I kept hoping that the RNG would favour me, but even with heavy restarts, it seems that completing every bonus objective is nigh-on impossible for most missions. I really wish that the devs had included pseudo-random RNG, ensuring that there was always a solution (assuming you played perfectly), rather than pure RNG, but for now, I'm just going to have to give this game up.TtE MAY get better once you can purchase better abilities, but honestly, I'm so angry at this game and its RNG that I'd rather just refund it and not waste any more of my time.If you can get through the RNG balogna, Ticket to Earth is probably a great game, and I'd recommend at least giving it a shot. That said, if you're a completionist who needs to finish every objective, I recommend staying the hell away, as it will be nothing but an exercise in frustration.. This review is written after playing through the first two chapters of the story.Ticket to Earth is a really enjoyable and addictive Puzzle-Strategy Game with RPG Elements, that I would highly recommend. The gameplay is easy to learn but has also depth to it, which shows intself once you have progessed through the story and unlock more characters and abilitys. The story, world and characters, while not terribly unique and following some well traveld tropes fit into their own world quit nicely, and you want to follow the plot along, You can see many inluences from other Sci-Fi Media, yet it never feels to much like a ripoff. My biggest complaint is that sometimes there can be mood dissonance with the situations and the character, which will show itself in the dialog, and sometimes the missions can blend together a bit.Overall this is a really good games and I can't wait for the next Episode.. This review covers up until the end of episode 2.This is not a bad game but I would say its mechanics are not deep and leave the player wanting more. Especially if you are expected to be replaying maps constantly in the pursuit of money, nitrium, and upgrade tokens. You generally feel trapped in a very rigid attack plan. You get two turn tokens per round and will generally always move once and attack once. You need to move because thats how you generate the amount of damage you can inflict and also how you charge your moves. Maybe im missing a huge game mechanic but that is the main strategy for the entirety of the game and you will do little else. I found when i had trouble with a battle it was just because of luck of the tiles or an underpowered character (bad weapon or move set) rather than me needing to alter my strategies. Also dont bother mining Nitrium (which is used to create buffs for your weapons) as the amount you need vs the amount you pick up from battles is unrealistic for any of the buffs worth having. As for the story, i pretty much fell out of interest in episode 2 though i did follow closely in episode 1. You can skip the story entirely and be perfectly fine gameplay wize.Otherwise this is a decent little puzzle rpg. Despite its flaws its still fun to pick up and play here and there.. Rose is my favourite protagonist in ages - queer PoC♥♥♥♥♥kicker, unapologetically empathetic and driven. Not to mention the bright, vibrant sci-fi setting inspired by a post-mining Australia. As a fan of Final Fantasy Tactics, the RPG + turn-based grid strategy elements are a big hit for me. Really excited for Episode 2! Kurtz's Research on Nitrium Mutation: Greeting Peace Keepers,Last week we shared with you background on former New Providence CMO Matthias Kurtz.Regarding your requests for further information on Kurtz's research into Nitrium mutations, we have declassified the following data file recovered by a Peace Keeper field operative investigating Kurtz. TRIAL COMMENCEMENT DATE: August 2815 TEST SEQUENCE: Series SevenSAMPLE SIZE: 01SUBJECT BACKGROUNDName: XXXXX XXXXXXXXAge: 14Date of Birth: 9 October 2804. History: No data is available regarding parental background of Test Subject.Test Subject was relocated under the Movement adoption plan to Sanctuary in 2808 following the death of Test Subject’s parents. Causes of parent’s death listed as homicide, perpetrators unknown. Test Subject was enrolled in the Enoch Bowen Movement College at age 5. SUBJECT CONDITION REPORT: PRE-ELEVATIONHeight: 144.7 cm Weight: 46 kg General health and fitness levels are extremely high owing to Test Subject’s adherence to Movement exercise regime.Blood Nitrium Levels: 03 μg/dL (NOTE: Levels of particulate Nitrium in bloodstream are significantly lower than current New Providence age/population average [17 μg/dL]. This deviation is possibly explained by Movement training coupled with environmental factors specific to the settlement in Sanctuary.) NOTE: Test subject rated 19.8 on Rosenheim Psycho-activity scale. Average RPA scale for previous test-subjects has been <1.5NITRIUM ELEVATION TESTING PROGRAMNew Series 07 testing addresses the complications arising from invasive cranial-irrigation methods used in Series 06.Cycle 01: IV irrigation of low-level Nitrium solution at 50 μg/dL per 14 hour cycle. Duration: 5 days.Cycle 02: Intensive transdermal Nitrium saturation [Nitrium complex solution at 99 mM] in high-pressure containment. EEG rig with multi-trigger stimuli driving stress and relaxation responses on alternating 7 hour cycle. Duration 10 days.Cycle 03: Intensive CPX testing coupled with IV Nitrium irrigation at 90 μg/dL per 8 hour cycle every two days. Duration 8 days.As in all prior test series, off-cycle/sleep-phase NLP was used to re-establish behavioural controls.SUBJECT CONDITION REPORT: POST ELEVATIONHeight: 144.7 cm Weight: 31 kg Weight reduction possible stress side-effect of intensity of Cycles 02 and 03. [Review for Series 08]Test Subject has maintained pre-elevation levels of physiological fitness. [VO2 and LIP are slightly higher post Cycle 03.]Blood Nitrium Levels: 194 μg/dL [Test Subject NBL now exceeds absolute lethal threshold of >80 μg/dL.]Gross physiological mutation is minimal. Test-subject's eyes show sign of cellular transition; corneal structures have been absorbed into the ocular tunic. Visual acuity is seemingly unaffected. Test-subject cellular processes are stable. Initial observation indicates that Nitrium is now integrated into existent metabolic pathways. Excess Nitrium energies are discharged as a visible-spectrum corona emanating from the Test-Subjects head. ABILITIESWhen equipped with a neural amplifier, the Test Subject is able to direct blasts of coherent PK energy. Field tests demonstrate that the Test Subject can generate energy levels in excess of 50kW. Using a modified Justice Engine bio-link, Peace Keeper combat wetware has been successfully transfered to the Test Subject.Standard anti-personnel abilities integrate and function normally.NOTE: Some combat abilities appear to have been “twisted” during imprinting perhaps as a result of pre-existent Movement indoctrination. NOTE: The Test-Subject claims to “see the future”. Further testing of pre-cognitive abilities is required in order establish whether this is part of a traumatic delusional framework or an enhancement facilitated by elevation.CONCERNSTest Subject may be suffering from PTSD delusions. Post-elevation interviews indicate that the subject may retain deep-nested Movement belief systems. Test Subject has made mention of "the Void", "dwelling in darkness" and other terminology associated with Stellar Consciousness ritual mantras. These latent Movement cognitive biases indicate that behavioural controls and compliance triggers will require reinforcement. If necessary, surgical modification of the test-subject's brain will be undertaken a last resort. CONCLUSIONSThis Test-Series is the most successful to date. The Series 07 Test Subject is the most stable mutant this program has engineered, and demonstrates the viability of weaponised Nitrium mutations. The test subject’s young age and inherent PK abilities are key factors for the success of this series. More test-subjects must be located...
